“Best part about life is every morning you have a new opportunity to be a better version of yourself.”
What’s Your Why?
Why Do You Get Out of Bed in the Morning? Is there something that excites you to live another day, or are you just waiting for the next paycheck?
I’ve noticed how some people spend their whole life working to accomplish other people’s dreams rather than their own.
I’ve realized once you decide to reach for the one thing you consider impossible, you can truly understand what it means to live.
For me, it’s my constant drive to get one step closer to where I want to be. I’ve made a commitment to being, doing, and learning more today, so I can be, do, and have more tomorrow.
3 Steps to Wake Up With Intent.
Having a purpose is the starting point to living a life with intent. Purpose gives life a direction and meaning.
In order to develop or discover our purpose, we start by thinking about what brings the most joy to our lives. What footprint do we want to leave in the world?
Once we discover our purpose, it becomes the driving force behind everything which we do. It helps us stay focused when times are tough, and it pushes up to reach beyond our own self limits to reach our goals.
With having a clear purpose, we can begin to set goals for ourselves. Long term, short term, weekly goals, and action plans to reach our ultimate desire.
No matter how big your goal or how hard it may seem, write it down. Then work backwards to create an action plan to accomplish it.
Les Brown, a motivational speaker once said, “Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit.”
Creating clear, measurable goals will allow us to easily track progress, refine any areas for improvement, and help guide each day to take small steps towards our vision.
With a strong purpose and meaningful goals, you will have the motivation and desire to jump out of bed every morning.
This feeling which drives our actions to improve, learn, and grow is a burning desire. Once we reach this state, we praise every opportunity given, and we cherish each moment that helps us reach our dreams.
So again, let me ask you. Why do you get out of bed in the morning?
