North Shore Days
The beautiful coastline of Oahu’s North shore is popularly known among the surf community for its amazing waves, but I love cruising the north shore because of its countryside.
Living in Waikiki around the crowd is great and definitely has its time and place, but I long for the rustic countryside and down to earth locals.
Today we had a pretty jammed packed day getting in as much as we can. The one place we had been looking forward to was a grove on the north shore.
Did you hear that?
This time we made it to the grove at perfect time. The day before we actually tried to come, but there wasn’t enough light left in the day.
The walk to the actual grove was unreal. The grass and palm trees were the most luscious green you could imagine, and the lighting from the sun created some awesome light rays.
About half way there, all of sudden we heard some snarling noises. The started to progressively get louder and I honestly thought a pig was about to run us down, but thank God it ended up being nothing.
Palm Tree Heaven
As we made it to the grove we were in awe. Literally if you wanted to feel like you were in the most tropical location, this is the place to be.
Being a windy night, you could here the palm trees whistling in the wind which can be a concern for falling coconuts.
As the sun started to set, it started to backlight the palm trees and creating awesome light rays. Overall, Savannah and I were stoked we came back because it’s always worth it in the end.

Hey Taylor,
Basically, as soon as I read this blog title and realised you were talking about Hawaii, I knew my wanderlust was about to be turned up to eleven! This is my ultimate destination and your damn gorgeous photos are making my fingers itch to open Skyscanner in a new tab, just to see if a flight is really *that* expensive… *sigh*
Anyway, this is beautiful and thank you for making me feel homesick for a place I’ve never been to!
